IF Google ever did make an OS, it'd be a whileeeeee from now. The Chrome browser is pretty good. I like how it's so simple and allows you to focus more on the webpages you visit and doesn't take up "space" in your screen. It's more like Opera than firefox if you were to compare.
I also like how you can drag tabs in and out of windows to make new windows As far as speed goes, I'm not sure how it compares to firefox. From what I experienced, I couldn't really see a difference.

Google Chrome's simplicity makes it more interesting especially its appearance, but the browser is definitely fast which is an advantage I think!

Google wants 100% of the market so there's no % left over for you?

i think this was the main motivation for releasing Chrome so quickly after IE 8.0 with their inprivate mode that could hurt Adsense. with chrome's incognito window, they'll still be able to collect data for their advertisers. anyhow, i'm doing an extensive desktop study of incognito mode and should release the results in a day or two. it's shaping up really well.

Chrome
Google Chrome looks like fun but I heard some where there might be
minor glitches. I guess that why it is still in beta.
I am just going to stick with firefox.
As for a Google operating system... I doubt it.

I heard that it was actually faster than Firefox too! I can't install it on my desktop it's Win98se. But I'm thinking about trying it out on my laptop. Guess I'll have to find out for myself.

I've started using Chrome... It's really faster than others. I don't think there will be an operating system from Google....

they have so much money that anything beyond their imagination can be a reality, I'd get my hands on a free Google OS and tinker with it or two

As MrNiceGuy007 gave the importance of money which I agree completely, Google no doubt is a giant and may be I think that Google targets to give a tough business time to Microsoft so its very possible that it will come up with its own OS soon but that will be end of the Google era.
Chrome is good, I feel like I am locked in a small room though lol. But its really faster than others.

Actually, from what I've read, I think that's close. I'm pretty sure they modified and stripped down the code in various ways, though.

Chrome browser is really good and its pretty fast. The most important feature of this browser as per Google :- "Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today's complex web applications much better . By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board."
