Adsense for search program
How well is the program? Is it worth implementing on every page?

Do we earn for each search or only if the visitor clicks on a link during the results page?

you earn when they click on ads.

since the ads are somewhat blended you will likely get a high ad clickthrough rate (which can lead to a decent CPM if you are in a decent category) but it depends on how you integrate search into the site

CPM is very high for WebSearch, but the PPC is generally lower than that of AdSense (at least for my site)
