Adsense conspiracy
Anyone subscribe to the conspiracy that sites with adsense get a major pop in the rankings? It does seem to be suspicious, although it could also be that peddlers of adsense have figured out how to get good rankings to make money. The sites all seem to be the same, huge directories that are nothing but a collection of links to other sites with adsense at the top.

examples?
can you give some examples? I have adsense on many sites and I haven't seen any changes in google ranking as a result.

well wouldnt they get rankings as if all the pages that their ads are showing up on, are linking to them? Its like signing up for a ****load of variable backlinks? Maybe? Im not SEO expert, but that seems plausible to me

no backlinks
Adsense links don't show up as backlinks, do they? I've never seen any.

I think that sites with Adsense should be penalised (obviously not going to happen, but anyway...) What is the point of searching Google, only to be supplied with a load of sites that encourage you to visit a different Google result...?
