Arrow Adsense ads displaying on .com VS .com/index.php

I am currently in the process of trying to implement multiple ad units to the main page of my site. However, only the first of three units will show ads. The rest show PSA's. This happens when I access my site using "mydomain.com", which is automatically pointing to the page index.php

However, if I type the full path to default index file ("mydomain.com/index.php") I get all kinds of relevant ads that fill every unit on the page.

Anyone know why this is? Or how to fix? I'm thinking I could setup some kind of redirect so that the domain specifically loads index.php, but I don't know if that's such a great idea...

do your internal links point to the root site URL or the index.php page?

http://www.nirvana-music.com - shows one ad and two blank boxes
http://www.nirvana-music.com/index.php - all boxes filled with relevant ads

The only solution I can think of would be to upload an index.html that redirects straight to index.php - but I'd prefer to figure out the problem rather than work around it...

Well, even Google themselves are not too sure what's causing the problem. If I setup an index.html to redirect to the full path of index.php, would Google search penalize me?

???

My domain loads index.php when it is accessed - what don't you understand?

The issue I'm concerned about is trying to force the browser to load the full path of mydomain/index.php because, for whatever reason, I get plenty of good Google ads being displayed.

You need to get all inbound urls including external and internal to point to /index.php that you will never be able to do! Please dont try it cos it may piss you off in the long run! Best try and destroy all links pointing to /index.php and add a server exclude of /index.php in your robots.txt . Over time you will get better Google ads.

Love the rock attitude btw (I am more Alice in Chains fan... the unplugged vs Nirvana unplugged has got to be better no? - maybe a poll on your site?)

[EDIT:]Also would remove the /index.php from this forum! I would keep this root file path a secret and technically you can call it anything as long as the server agrees or you set it up under IIS.

Thanks for the input... I may have to do something like that.
I just don't understand why the difference of URL's would make such a difference.

Anyone else here tried typing the full path to their own site? Compare your ads with those on your domain alone and let me know what you see.

Surely I can't be the only one...
Any more ideas?

Yes I see on my movie website they are less targeted to the home page but very targeted to another page on the site so I guess its a Google guess.

My main issue, though, is that index.php and my domain are the exact same page. But for some unknown reason, Adsense is serving completely different ads.
