Well if you want to sell advertising space on your blog you could use this software. http://www.oiopublisher.com/ (I've used it since the beta launch)

Adbrite pays to low and the ads are not always targeted to your content.

Here is a short list of other sites you could use to make money with if you don't like the results of using adsense. Some of these sites you can use there ads and adsense together. Just check out there rules..etc

highprofits.com
bidvertiser.com
chitika.com
clicksor.com
adclickmedia.com
exoclick.com

Search google for more websites.

Admedia.com - many different flavors for your site.
Pixazza - serve up google adsense on images
InfoLinks - contextual in-text ads.

I think the best way is to use anchor text link (affiliate link)related to your content topic, if people read your post and feel intrested in it,so he click the link naturally....

I use only google adsense and infolinks. i used clicksor before but stopped using it because my readers might get irritated to pop-ups.

It depends on your traffic and the niche of your site, but you could also try CPM networks like Tribal Fusion, Casale Media, ValueClick Media, or CPX Interactive

Directly selling ads or using affiliate programs so you earn per sale. For example, you could review some products and include your affiliate link and hopefully get a few sales from doing that review.

Yeah! I agree with you Clicksor obstructs most of the post area. Their payout is also very low
