Can a banned site still contain adsense ads?

I checked out the following site and it appears to have been banned from google. It is showing no information on google search. Maybe someone can verify? However, the site has adsense ads on it.

Odd, it appears to have a ton of low quality links. Mostly free directories.

Yep, it is banned. Yep, penalized sites can display Adsense - it has no relation to Google's organic SERPs.

Google should also ban the adverts but I guess it doesn’t want to deal with the administering it all.

I think, Google Adsense and Google Search engines are 2 different entities. They have one thing in common though, Both do not warn before banning your website or kicking you out of their program
