Cool AdSense earnings

I have a relatively popular website and have just repositioned my adsense on some parts of the site. The clicks have really improved (from around 5 to 20+/day) however the earnings don't seem to reflect this! Is there something that I am doing or could do to improve my earnings from the clicks? I know it depends on the content/keywords and this site is a gaming community but I thought that it was quite compeitive and reasonably well paid?

Also, on another site I get a click but no revenue at all?

Here are my earnings for yesterday (I know this is ok with Google's rules now)

The price of the "click" would depend on the advertisement clicked, so yes the content on your website would play a part in this. Looking at your screenshot you have had 21 clicks but only earnt $2.41 - I've had this with one click, look at your content and the advertisements being served.

I'm not an adsense expert but look for more competive keywords, which usually bring a higher click through rate.

Your overall CTR is re-evaluated weekly and affects your compensation. If your CTR goes up significantly wait a week and see if the amount you're payed per click goes up. It should.

If you are using 3 Ad blocks your are highering the chances of some low paying ads being served and they just might be the ones being clicked on. You might want to consider removing one for a week or two and see how the performance goes.

Im also seeing some ringtone ads on your site which arent really relevant, the game server ones look good.

If you go to ban the ringtones ads be careful as they just might be the best paying clicks you have as ringtone advertising is very competive on the adwords side - higher cost for the advertiser means higher payment for us.

*edit*

Make sure to do what veridicus suggests before making any more changes - leave it for a week and see if payment rises.
