Yahoo Has An AdSense Again

I remember way back in the day you had a hard time registering for the yahoo publisher network. Heck, I've lived in the USA my whole life. Anyways, this maybe another google adsense alternative if it works out well.

Quote:
Yahoo, via the Yahoo Bing Network, has partnered with Media.net on a new contextual display advertising option for web publishers. AdWeek dubs it a resurrection of Yahoo’s “AdSense.”

Yahoo shut down is Publisher Network two years ago, but now under Marissa Mayer, the company is getting back into the game. This time the product is actually called Yahoo Bing Network Contextual Ads (Powered by Media.net).

Yahoo explains, “The Yahoo! Bing Network Contextual Ads program combines the expertise of the Yahoo! Bing Network and Media.net to enable web publishers to easily and effectively earn advertising revenue. Publishers can now use the Media.net self-serve platform to create and customize ad units that display relevant text ads from across the Yahoo! Bing Network.”

I'm limited on time for the next few weeks but i may request an invite and see if I can get an approval.

edit: I just requested an invite... won't know for awhile, here the message: "We will begin issuing a limited number of accounts daily starting Oct 15, 2012. Therefore, it may take us some time to get back to you on the status of your invitation request"

I seriously think I'll get rejected.

You probably will be rejected, Yahoo is very strict on everything. It took me over 2 months to get my first article published on Yahoo's content network, and even there I only made $2.50 for the entire article. (They really don't get many page views for their articles, there're thousands upon thousands of good writers) - Dropped them the next day!

Let us know how it goes when you get approved. I'd like to hear more about your experiences. I currently use only Adsense.

Well this time, they have teamed up. It will be nice to see someone can compete with the King Google.

Since I won't use adwords no more then I may sign up there. Although I have not really lost anything by going to the other networks except a little traffic. I still seem to have the same conversions as before.

So far, the personal account manager that I got is good. Then again it's been 1 day and I still have questions to ask.

Congrats, Well done,
Just a personal though I have is that if I owned Google, I won't be sending any traffic to sites with Yahoo ads. This thought might be childish.

Thanks - just requested an invite also

Have you been able to tell an estimated cpm/rpm so far? More/less than adsense in your niche?

I just noticed in the admin panel that I can blog certain advertiser's once I get there URL's and also can blog certain keywords.

Example I can add real estate in the box and it'll block those keywords and not show those ad's. This is still new and more changes to come in the future but sorta has an adsense feel to it.

Tomorow I'm going to fiddle around with the colors and stuff. Just haven't had time to do much but stick up the ad's. lol

Here is a quote from there publisher page:

Quote:
We maximize your eRPM by allowing advertisers to bid using all types of pricing models - CPC, CPM, CPA.
Source: http://www.media.net/publishers

Just request an invite, if you get approved you always have another option to fall back upon if adsense ban's you.

Yahoo! Bing Network Rolls Out to 13 New Countries

Good news for other people!!

Quote:
The Yahoo! The network now reaches a total of 22 countries across four continents, and plans to continue growth.

I've been using them as media dot net before the merger. So far things are looking good. Better than GA so far. Fingers crossed.
