Adsense page count
According to my Adsense account, I've had 457 page impressions in 12 days.

If I look at my stats provided by my blog software and also by AWstats, I've had 4000+ visits, 8000+ pages and 12000+ hits.

What gives? What can explain the major delta for page impressions?

I was wondering this same thing yesterday. My page count and the impression by adsense do not match.

There are a lot of things that can account for the disparity.

Some people have JavaScript disabled. Some pages may not have Adsense on them. And a lot of those pageviews are probably spiders.

I have Adsense on ALL pages of the blog.

So spiders register as page counts but don't download everything?

I can't get my head around the impressions on adsense, I just ignore them and go by the revenue for the day and my reporting software page views.

Stats provided by your Blog software sounds wrong. Only around 10% discrepancy in my stats due to the JavaScript issue. Are ads showing on all pages and not alternative or public service ads? Isyour site aimed at the US/Canada/UK type locations?

All my pages have the ads. The stats from the blog software line up with AWstats running on the server...
