There is an "AdSence preview tool" that might help. Look it up on google.

I clicked on one the very first day I added them to my site to check it out. I didn' t realize at that time they have the free tool that you can check out the site. Anyway...about a week ago I was uploading a new site and accidently click on one of the ads. It showed up as $0.00. Advice is use their tool or look at the web address and type it directly into your address bar!

dont click own ads.
if u want to view own ads, download the 'google ads preview' tool.. that add to ur IE right click dropdown bar. then u can view all possible ads there n click to test any ads.

good luck

You should never click your own ads - its click fraud and advertisers lose out.

I don't really see any issue with this at all, the URL is written under the ads, in textual cases so you can just manually type it in at the top, thats what I do anyway.

Don't click on your own ads regardless if you're interested.

A few accidental clicks shouldn't cause any problems though.

uh...

you saw an ad that interested you. If you click, how does that hurt the advertiser? they paid to interest you right?

Not clicking on an ad and going a round about way to the page that you are truly interested in is giving the advertiser *free* advertising.

With that said, clicking on ads that dont' interest you, just to rack up the clicks is what actual click fraud is all about.

First click is death . . . but you can always write to them and tell them that you accidentally clicked and they will probably forgive you.

I never click my own ads, I suggest nobody ever does of course.

Here's a snippet from an email I got from adsense a few days ago.
Quote:
It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions
have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have
therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that
this was a necessary step to protect the interest of the AdWords
advertisers.
needless to say I lost the thousands owed. Appeal was refused, money owed has been kept, and banned from using adsense.

Sidenote: I don't click my ads, when an ad does catch my eye I type it in a new window manually. Risking revenue that I can live on is not worth making mistakes.
