Clicking on your adsense
I know that according to the guidelines for Adsense, clicking your own ads is considered click fraud.
But is there an amount or is the first click considered click fraud?
I 'm asking because I was reviewing my site and saw an add that genuinely caught my eye but I didn't click it because I was afraid of breaking the rules (not that I make a fortune with those ads anyway... I'm considering removing them altogether)

Louis, Try not to click ads on your site...but contrary to the above comments, there is some allowance for accidental clicks.
I've clicked ads while testing sites and never had a problem.
If you are truely worried after clicking an ad, you can contact Google telling them it was an accidental click.
Also, if you are interested in something from an ad, just type the url in yourself and save the advertising company money.

I have only been beaten senseless twice by the Google police after inadvertently clicking my own ads.
But hey, I enjoyed it!

I've accidentially clicked my own before, and they didn't beat me down and punish me. I think there's an allowance for a few clicks here or there, although they still don't approve of it.
If I see an ad I like on my own site that I want to look at, I usually mouse over and see what the link goes to and type it in in another browser.

Well I have heard of a lot of people getting into trouble because they clicked their own adverts. I think they look at the IP address you log into and signup with and see how many clicks there getting from that range of IP's. If it was just after you signed into adsence they would know that was your IP and possible ban you. But then you come into the problem of people sharing IP addresses, so it's ahrd for them to know.
Basically, to be safe, I would just copy the link into the address bar and remove any adsence stuff, and in case you accidently do click it email them immediatly after.
