How to open a new window in Adsense?

Do you know the code to enable a new window opens when user clicks on Adsense?

Will Google allow me to do this?

no...it is the terms that you will not open it in a new window. I'm trying to find it as I know I've seen it.

I also have been thinking how to open adsense code in new window, if it is against Google's policies so we have to find a way around and not breaking the rules in the same time.

I think one of workarounds can be is using FRAME/IFRAME and when a visitor clicks on the ad it will remain on the publisher's site and also the click should be registered.

Hm. Adsense code may have some checks if it is opened in the main window.

Am I missing something else ?

Modifying the adsense code in anyway is against G's policy. If you do so and get banned don't come back crying.

Personally, I think it stinks, we should be able to target="_blank" adsense. For the couple pennies we get for running the ads and few cents we get for a click we should have more rights.

I can understand, how annoying it is.

But what else can we do?

Ya I too would advise against any means to doing this.

It's against their terms and will just get you banned.

I think that could work actually...
It doesn't appear to be against the TOS to have Adsense appear in a page that has frames...

...Although I'm not a fan of frames, it would allow you to reduce the number of people that browse away by having a small 'navigation bar' at the top of your site.

As long as it doesn't obscure the ads, and assuming I'm reading it correctly.

Mind you, CJ banners are an easier less-guesswork option

Iframes make it difficult to ensure the relevance of ads remains inline with the main page.

I just look at it as Google buying the user off me ...

I also get plenty of multiple clicks from the same user ... if they are really interested in your site then they'll use the BACK button.

If the frame is a small 'nav bar' how is it interfering with content relevance?

Gee you're generous to Google They would want to increase their payout a long way for that privilege for anyone I can think of.

Given that the only reason for wanting links to open in a new window is to not lose the user, I was trying to make a constructive suggestion based on the Google TOS

It seems including adsense in IFRAME may force Google to show public ads.

Here is the link

Why don't you want it to open on the main site. Not sure about others, but I know what is a normal link on a site and an ad. I always open it in a new window my self with the mouse. Quite simple, right click and press open in new window.

It's not allowed to modify the adsense codes or to make them open in a new page. But I've seen big sites like metacafe opening the ads in a new window

You can't do that either. Placeing adsense in frames is not allowed, niether is placeing adsense is popup windows.
