It's all about traffic - increase your traffic and your adsense income will also increase. It has nothing to do with PR.

Try bookmarking your site. I mean posting in social bookmarking sites, it might help give you the best traffic.

To get $5-10/day you need at least 1 000 daily visitors.

PR has nothing to do with your adsense income! You should try hard to get more traffic if you want more money with adsense. Traffic alone will not help, you should also concentrate on optimizing the ads as well.

It is all about the quality of your traffic and the amount of earnings you earn per click. It also depends on the sites topic you have. Entertainment sites tend to have less earnings per click than sites like web hosting related and webmaster related.
If you are getting a good earnings per click then an increase in quality traffic to increase your CTR will help plus you may want to improve your ad optimization if they are not located in good places.

To get quality and steady traffic, think about a long process issue, you can't get immediate huge traffic within single day (if so, it will be one day only) no problem on whatever your niche, try this..
i) exchange links with related sites
ii) write articles about you niche and submit to article directories.
iii) Try to advertise on craigslist.org (popular classified site)
iv) Join related forums and put your websites on signatures
v) Use email signatures
vi) Submit to social bookmarking sites
vii) Create a blog within your site and add contents regularly to get traffic
from SE
My best tip is, try to learn SEO and research relevant keywords, optimize your site for SE, join webmaster community and learn things almost daily.. surely it will take time, but these are very much tested and successful formula to get targeted traffic to your websites...

+ More content!!!!
If you spend 3 years to create 15 000 good content pages for your site and some nice links...
If search engines start to send you at least 1 person a day on each page... you will get 15 000 unique visitors a day with average 200-500 clicks on Google adds... but in this case i will suggest to use AdBrite and you will get people to advertise weekly/monthly paying you hundereds for 1 link.
