Google Adsense earnings......!?

Hi everybody
I'm the webmaster of a new site , http://www.ebooksarchive.net.It has been up only for a week , but is getting good traffic (1000 + visitors per day the last days) . 4 days ago i placed google ads , but surprisingly the earnings are very low even if I get smth like 30 - 50 clicks per day on ads.Is there smth wrong with the placement , smth that has to do with site's young age ? I am waiting for your opinions and advices and some ideas form users with previous experiences with google ads.Cheers!

A weak long site and 1000+ visitors per day, thats really great. How do you do that?
And very unfortunate about your low google adsense earning.May be your visitors are very clever enough that they do not click at all...

Yes you must of did something that grabbed every ones attention, because that is great, now with the clicks believe me it takes a lot, and depending on your content, I have had websites that got 1.50 a click which was website development topic, and seo, but then I've seen sites only get 1-10 cents a click a big majority of the time.

So what are the factors in this, a lot of things it depends on your topic, and so many other things, I would have to say you need more clicks a lot of the times it takes huge amount of clicks to obtain high earning from your websites, but it can be done just keep working at it and you'll get them high earnings.

Well , I get high traffic because of the nature of the site (lots of free stuff to download) and no , I didn't buy anything. The only money I've spent are those for the hosting and for the domain.I am still very confused how is it possible to get about 60 ad clicks and earn less than 5$??Since I am a newbie , can anyone explain this.Maybe it's because my site hasn't yet pagerank and they pay less per click.I'm waiting for your ideas about the placement of the ads and maybe any other advice for the site.

MySpace, YouTube, your site....
PR0-PR10 all sites make the same % from each click. Most sites pay google 0.10-0.40 for click it mean that for some clicks you have only 0.01 penny.
It is good to have AdSence when you have 1 000 000 visitors... in this case you can make for living.

Dont expect to earn a fortune with adsense without getting 100k visitors per day like Sniper said.
If you are here to make money, find another way.

depends on content too though. I've found that the easier it is to build traffic and the more enjoyable the site, the less the Contextual ads payout

Also depends on how much your are getting for each click. Clicks will range depending on the importance of the keywords and your sites content. Some keywords can be 10.00

did you remove the ads?

I don't know how long it takes do de adsense crawler to visit a site after you place ads...but usualy, if the title and description are good, and have some content, the results are good. The ads were targeted to the content?

Yeah, I'm looking for it too. I was clicking around hoping they showed up. Either Brock got fed up and removed it or he got his account closed... ?

try adsense targeting , google analyses your content , or what's the closest thing next to it , and generates some ads based on the keywords it found . So , if you're giving away an e-book about raising babies , the ads should be something like : baby powdered milk etc .. you get the point . But , why not place the ads above the download section where you can create a square with something about your site and as many keywords possible about e-books , because that's what your site is about . So , you'll get even a wider range of ads . Next of , why not use channels to see which ads work best for you , try to maximize your earnings by adding 3 ads + text link on your side . But , wait , don't try to confuse the downloader , use them smartly , blend them in and read a bit about Google's Hotzones on adsense that could use , hope i've been helpful

It could be the fact that your site is catered towards teens as you said. If it was about webmaster related stuff then you will most probably earn more per click.

If you are looking to make enough money to pay hosting and domain cost. With ~600 uniques a day you could get atleast 1 or 2 per day to buy a product of yours. And what does hosting cost nowadays ?

If you are looking for a contextual, I have read some good things about contextweb

Not really, i know site which sell only 3 books on their pages and they have a sale from every 50 visitors.
With about 1500 uniques a day they generate 25-30 sales $30 each making about $800 a day.
