[AdSense] something weird happened today
I have a blog, and up until a few weeks ago I only had one AdSense ad. I decided that it would be nice if the blog could pay for itself, so i added the max 3 ad units and 1 text. I have slowly been building my blog, and getting new people, but have only been making $0.03 - $0.06 a day. Today when I got home, I checked and I had made $1.68 on only 1 click. Does this seem weird?

Do you use Custom Channels to track clicks?

By the way, poor Google AdSense! People call it weird when they earn in cents and they call it weird even when they earn in dollars.

You should remember that no two sites monetize the same way. It all depends on ad selection, placement and CTR. If you are new to AdSense, I highly recommend reading the AdSense guide.

I just think its weird to go from 3-6 cents a day to $1.68 on one click, and the day isn't even over yet.

no that just means someone clicked the link of a rich guy haha, it happened to me before, my highest one click was over $3 its normal dont worry

It's depend on the ad bid from the advertisers too...

The more they bid, the higher their ad, and the more you make.

Could be a new advertiser coming into the market, still not sure of what price they should be paying for an ad. Or, it's just the end of the month, time to use up those advertising dollars.
