The only way to run AdSense in a different domain, apply ...

I plan to transfer my site to a different domain for number of reasons while I keep running AdSense. The email I am using now(for AdSense) will be canceled eventually(probably like a couple of months after I transfer to a new domain). Now I was hoping that I keep the current AdSense account, but it appears that there is no way to change the email address. The only way to run AdSense in a different domain is to apply for a new account? (supposing that the old domain will disappear in a couple of months).

Have you contacted AdSense and asked them about this?

And what's the big deal about opening a second account?

Nope, not yet.

No big deal, really. It's just that I thought it would be nice to have one account and manage everything from there opposed to opening a couple of different accounts and managing them simultaneously(even if it's temporary).

So before you open the next account get yourself a permanent email address.

But I would certainly contact them. They must have run into this issue before. Maybe you will have to open a new account but possibly they can transfer all your history to it???

I've contacted AdSense a couple of times, and everytime they get back to me within 48 hours... they are quite efficient, surprisingly.

They should be able to change your email address if you explain your situation with them. As for different domain names, I have One Account and Adsense on 3 different sites. I asked them if I need to "apply" for each site and they said that wasn't necessary as you can add your coding to as many websites as you wish - their software picks up that you are using another site and they will check it out to see it complies with their terms. They will only contact you about it "if" the site you have added the coding to violates their terms etc.

FYI FWIW: I had to change my Email address (domain/etc. stayed the same, but since you can run Adsense on multiple domains, I'm not sure that is truly applicable).

It was pretty painless - drop 'em a note with the new address, confirm that is what I wanted, and rock-n-roll.
