what's the difference between v7n links and a blogvertise.com link?

I'm trying to get a handle on the way to go about this. I handle a number of successful accounts and can't afford the GooglePenalty. There's so much discussion on the web in various forums about being above the radar and below the radar - what's the consensus? Does it even matter to Google at this point?

More importantly, wouldn't it matter more to Google that links from blogs are from blogs that have links to it or have RSS subscriptions rather than static, link-generating blogs that may have little "authority" regardless of the content mass?

I'm afraid you'll be hard pressed to find a unanimous decision on the effects of selling links on blogs. I think the major arguments are in regards to disclosure statements and whether or not you use the 'dofollow' tag or not.

I don't think Google has a problem with selling links or buying links in general. What they are cracking down on is those sites that sell links specifically for PR.
