I fear for this country. It has never been more polarized and hateful as it is now since the Civil War. I saw the "documentary" and payed for the ticket, something I truly regret. I thought it was the most inflammatory, disgusting piece of film I have ever seen. Something of its one-sided and entirely manipulative nature has not existed in the Western world since the rise of the Third Reich and their attempt to rule the world through subjugation, brainwashing, and extermination. I am not saying he made anything up, so shut up.
Michael Moore is by all means a pitiful excuse for a human being. Appearance says a lot, and if you refute that then you are a brainwashed subject of the Politically Correct, the Modern Pussifiers. You are blind sheep; look at everything, hear everything and make your own opinions. Appearance shows how one values themself and how they are responsible for their lives and their health. I don't know how carrying yourself as a fat, unhealthy, disgusting two-legged piece of poo serves to create an image of self-respect or responsibility. Maybe we should question his motives and overall sensibilities. I don't think he has any that are respectable or credible.
I hate to sound hateful but that movie really made me mad, I think it made a lot of people mad. It also made me worried, because there were people there who applauded the very CHEAP aspects of this VERY hateful film. Moore ended the film summing up the struggle of the country as being the rich against the poor. The audience applauded and left, and as they drifterd into the light I saw what a bunch of misling hipocrites they all were. They filed out and drove away in nice new cars to their lawyer daddies and lives of liberal plushness. It made me want to vomit.
JonnyP is damn wrong about the Depleted Uranium disintegrating when being shot, what the hell would that do? DU is a super-dense metal that's radioactiveness is greatly diminished, it has been depleted. DU is used in the core of armor piercing ammunition because it is denser than steel. Sorry, I rant. Caped Crusader, Bytech, Rivux, jonnyp, and HellaCool; you guys are HellaIgnorant. WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR AGAINST AN ENEMY AND A RELIGION THAT VALUES WHITE MUSH AND GAAT MORE THAN HUMAN LIFE. That is a rock solid fact, do you watch the news? It doesn't matter which network. I think the war in Iraq is going as well as we could ever hope. Yes, I not only had a relative who served in Iraq, but he died there.
What can we do about the problems there and here? I think Bush and his Administration know and I think they're doing a good job.
I had as much right to say what I did as Michael Moore had to make his movie. This country is truly great. We have the right to say what we please and to be protected from the Govt. for it. We also have the right to think for ourselves and dislike a person as vulgar as Michael Moore.
I hope I didn't offend anyone, I think there are some very good opinions and such floating around in these forums.

i agree with pee'd, all those people who think physical appearance doesnt matter are stupid, if your fat, then you are weak willed and lazy.
Documentary: Presenting facts objectively without editorializing or inserting fictional matter, as in a book or film.
michael moore is a fat, stupid, biased bastard and none of his movies are really documentary's, they are collections of anti-bush propeganda

You don't have to see it, it's a free country..
By the way, most of the stuff in it is true (some facts are biased).

Talk about freedom. I love this.

Fahrenheit 9/11 banned in Iowa and Nebraska
Associated Press
DECORAH, Iowa — The president of a company that owns movie theaters in Iowa and Nebraska is refusing to show director Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11."
R.L. Fridley, owner of Des Moines-based Fridley Theatres, says the controversial documentary incites terrorism.
Fridley said in an e-mail message to company managers that the company does not "play political propaganda films from either the right or the left."
"Our country is in a war against an enemy who would destroy our way of life, our culture and kill our people," Fridley wrote. "These barbarians have shown through (the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001) and the recent beheadings that they will stop at nothing. I believe this film emboldens them and divides our country even more."
"Fahrenheit 9/11" won best picture at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and has grossed millions of dollars at the box office. Moore won an Academy Award for an earlier work, "Bowling for Columbine."
Critics accuse the film of being an unfair and inaccurate portrayal about President Bush's policies before and after Sept. 11, 2001.

Agree with this or not it's just another person's opinion. This posting will probably be blasted because it does not agree with Michael Moore's opinion or views.
What I love about this is the fact that someone is willing to NOT show a movie that will probably guarantee a box office hit for the theatre and STILL refuses to show it due to his RIGHTS and believes.

Wow this thread is just bringing out the 1 time posters, either we have a bunch of gutless cowards who needed to create a new account to post their opinion or IMR is really drawing in the reject crowd.

No, it is getting a little bit of search engine traffic. We are number one for "kill michael moore", and it is a search term that's getting a bit of traffic these last few days.

hahaha thats great. I can just imagine the people who are going to be coming here for that search term. Us on the left are going to be (if we weren't already) quickly outnumbered. Better call in the re-inforcements. lol

I really ought to say thanks to the guy who started the "create a car" thread in the archived forum. Check the view count on that.

Well, at least your intolerance and bigotry cover a wide range of people, from the overweight to Muslims.
As for me being ignorant, I've been involved in political activism for twelve years, I have participated in protests and direct actions, and I have studied foreign and domestic policy, as well as world history, at length. You post no facts, only spiteful invective and unfounded, uninformed opinion. I would be happy to match my ignorance against that. Any time you feel up for a real-time debate of issues (where we don't make fun of people for their size, like an adult conversation), I encourage you to contact me.
If depleted uranium is so safe (of course it's not, I'm just humoring you), why is the military briefed on its dangers? Why give our troops special training on how to avoid the potential harm? Because the inhalation of fragmented particles poses a significant health risk. Frankly, I find this example of misinformation in your post more insulting than the name-calling.

I was never part of an arguement, I haven't seen the movie and had no opinion of it one way or another. And as for 'baseless accusations', I'm guessing your reading comprehension skills aren't very good since the only 'fact' I mentioned was the number of 1 time posters, which can hardly be argued and is far from baseless. My other point was a question and as such wasn't an accusation. Thanks for coming out though.

I think the people debating might want to watch the movie before debating.
