It would probably be bad for business to go out and find reasons to expell paying customers.

I dont think the universities have the authority to test the students, after all you PAY to go there.

In many countries random drug testing or drug tests for jobs are illegal because it is a violation of people's civil rights. I'm glad I live in such a country.

Why would it ever be reasonable to test someone in this sense.

Would it be reasonable to put remote desktop software on every us computer for the NSA?

They already do this for students who preform in school sporting events.

Hey, you're guilty until proven innocent... I mean, you'd only refuse a test if you had something to hide.

That is true, but since you are studying there, you are agreeing to school policies and if random drug testing is a part of their policy, students should cooperate.

You know, a thought has just occurred to me.

This violates a couple of constitutional rights.
The fact that you supposedly freedom loving North Americans are peachy keen for this to happen makes me realise how amazingly gullible the vast majority of you are.

Here's a an episode of Penn & Teller's Bull**** for you. P & T basically give you some pretty exacting proof that not only is the war on drugs pretty much lost, it's amazingly pointless. You also get to see some magic tricks. It's Penn & Teller after all.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

No, that wouldn't be classified as propaganda IMO. As for what I think of the issue, I personally would confront the dean of any such university and tell them that they can shove their university up their a$$ sideways.

It could never happen here in the UK.
There are many people who have nothing to hide but would object strongly to being made to pee in a bottle on demand. I'm one of them.

If they're allowed to invade someone's privacy like this where will they stop? Are they going to want to rummage through the personal belongings in a student's room on the off-chance they might have something illegal? There's no difference in these two scenarios as far as I'm concerned.
