The New American President
Barrack Obama has been sworn in as the new president of America. He has made lot of promises like withdrawal of troops from Iraq, handling the economic crisis, etc. Do you think he will be able to stand up to these promises and would be able to change the picture of troubled America?

i totally agree... for me all the stuff politician say are gibberish..
i mean in the first place why do politician's spend so much money on their campaign, when they know for a fact that their overall earning on their term is not enough to make up for their money spent on their campaign?
So what do you think they do to get back their money once they won the election? graft and corruption?? under the table bribes?? im just saying there is no legal way to get back what you've spent on their respective campaign.namean?
i'm not sure with other countries, but here at P'.. that's the case.

I must have missed some of those promises. I heard a lot of rhetoric but no specif promises.
However; he is the President and does seem to be a leader. Sometimes the sheep just need a leader.
I am reserving judgement for 180 days from today.

I have to agree with the above statement when I say that it is too early to see what kind of president our "new hope" will become. He is however, a strong leader who has gained a large national as well as international fan club. The people like him and the people are counting on him.
On a further note, I would also like to add that President Obama is in a particular position which hasn't been seen since the days of JFK. He is a historical leader and he is someone who will not only shape his family's reputation but the history of both the united states and the world. He has allot to live up to in this position and I think he knows that all too well.

Obama is a politician who learned from the Clintons. "Tell them what they want to hear so they'll vote for you, then do what you want. They can't do anything about it."
If you think Obama gives two hoots about anyone in the American working class, you need to wake up.

I guess no one can tell what he can and can't do at the moment. He just started to take the lead. We will see how it's gonna be. I just wish it'll be better.

I sincerely hope Barack Obama turns out to be the best damned President in the history of the United States, now that he's stuck with the job.
We need someone to do something to bring back consumer confidence in the economy, bring back the jobs we lost (and are still losing) so we can pay our bills, open the credit avenues again so small businesses can make their payrolls while waiting on their accounts receivables to come in (you'd be surprised how many companies drag their feet when it comes time to pay for work done for them by other companies...) and end this damned war in the Middle East! The U.S. is bleeding money every minute on that stupid war and for what? To make the U.S. safer?
That's a myth G.W. wants you to believe. If anything, the war over there has made the U.S. the number one target of every terrorist. And it was the perfect excuse to invent a new government police force called Homeland Security.
End the war, bring our men and women back home where they belong, get the economy back on its feet and make America the greatest country in the world again.
I can only hope Barack Obama is the man to do it.

Hope is what he promised, hope is what you get.
I guess by the time you start to realize what the famous change is really about you start hoping for the next president, and so on...exactly like it has been for the past 60 years or so.

I hope in a few months the things will start getting better, otherwise the dammage will be difficult to reverse.
Today Microsoft are layoff 5000 employees, that's not good.
The politicians need to work as fast as they could to relieve the people problems

Dow Jones dropped nearly 350 points on Obama's Inauguration day alone.

For those of you who don't have enough political stuff to occupy your minds, try this:
http://www.eutruth.org.uk/ I just learned of it today and don't like it one bit.
If any of this is true, we are definitely in deep trouble because this would be a little insight into the future of the United States after the creation of the North American Union, and who's to say that once the EU gains complete control of Englands nuclear arsenal they don't use it against the U.S. if we decide to rebell against their plans?
Is this new American president walking in lockstep with the EU? Remains to be seen.
