Suppose I owe John Scott 10 dollars and he decides to sell that debt on to someone else. That, according to John, is all part of "the freedom of individuals to enter into whatever mutually consensual agreements that they like".
I disagree with him. I think it sucks.

If you think it sucks, why did you agree to a contract wherein the debt could be sold? Instead of making a Federal case out of it and imposing your will on every single person in the nation, you could simply not consent to such agreements.

That isn't socialism on my part, it's common sense.

That would be statism, not socialism. Socialism would be when the government socializes the bad debt.

Are you talking about loan shark?
You must be because God forbid Government start regulating how many points per week he can charge individuals and of course we don’t wanna that to happened.

Loan sharks? Would you be referring to PayDay loans? I think they are all fine. If somebody wants a loan, and has such horrible credit that they can't get a few hundred dollars elsewhere, the high fees are justified by the high risk.
But no, I wasn't talking about that.
