What does one trillion dollars look like?

The U.S. owes China more than 700 billion dollars. Obama has signed more than a trillion dollars worth of bailout bills and stimulus packages.

But how much money are we talking about it here? What does a trillion dollars look like?

Multiply the graphic of one trillion dollars by eleven times and you'll begin to more fully realize the debtload the citizens of the United States are now under. I believe we now owe more than eleven trillion dollars. (That's $11,000,000,000,000. A record twelve zeros.)

This is money that must be paid back. It is accruing interest every single day. The interest alone on such massive debt will make it extremely difficult for the taxpayers to begin paying down any of the principle.

Meaning our children's children's children, and maybe even their children, will be saddled with this economic hinderance and will suffer as well. Carrying such a debt load will begin to make it difficult for the United States to borrow money from other countries, causing this country to fall ever further. Treasury Secretary Geitner was already laughed at in China.

Americans are being led into financial slavery by our governing leaders and few Americans seem to be concerned! Now is the time to wake up and see what is happening, not after we are wearing shackles.

America is socialist. Get used to it. I left, so can you. All that debt? Not mine any more. In Japan, we don't have hundreds of millions of people freeloading off hard working citizens. It's actually a fairly intelligent system here.
