Absolutely. It's the school's responsibility to teach while they have your kids. It's your responsibility to teach outside those hours and also to undo the damage that the education system does within those hours.

I'm in my forties and was taught that WWII was caused in a large part, by the failures of the world nations and the lessons not learned from the aftermath of WWI. The demise/failure of the League of Nations and the inability of it to enforce the conditions of the Treaty of Versailles on Hitler.

I take the stance that it was the treaty of versailles that caused the war. It's formation and terms were hardly fair and it created the conditions that allowed hitler to take power.

Yea, I disagree with the teacher as well. That seems more like communist or socialist. But then again, fascism - communist - socialist - they are all first cousins.

Its not the governments place to get in the middle of labor disputes. That disrupts the free enterprise market. It reminds me of the Army being called in to put down striking coal miners in the late 1800s.

As for the teacher, reality is perceived. Or history of WWII might seem a little strange to the rest of the world as well.

Since WWII, the USA has turned into an Imperial nation. Most of the world uses our money, what goes on here affects the world. In certain ways, we have become the new Rome.

World War Two began in Sept. 1939 when Britain and France declared war on Germany following Germany's invasion of Poland
Also this wasn't "the" cause of starting the war. There were different facts that cumulated and the invasion of Poland was the final straw
So I ask my self what are your teachers teaching?
