It's just unbelievable that someone could pull off such a scam for so many years. Why do we even have something called the SEC if they can't even do their jobs? They couldn't even get on top of the Enron disaster until it was too late.
Disciplinary action? Watch, those at the SEC caught sleeping on the job will get a mere slap on the hand, if not also a good pat on the back behind closed doors for doing a good job...
Meanwhile there are retired people going back to work to pay the bills after losing everything they had invested.
That's why I don't invest. You just can't trust anyone today.
I hope the rest of Bernie Madoff's life is so horrible death will be a blessing.
