What's that got to do with the NAACP? He's trying to designate hangings as somehow synonymous with the struggle of a particular minority group? Hangings were the favored means of snatching the ghost out of people in this country for a long, long time, and in other countries and around the world for centuries. Many white neckes have stretched in this country and I expect quite a good percentage were done for pretty insignificant reasons.
Simulated dead people hanging by the necks from trees is a universally spooky symbol which is exactly what makes it a great halloween decoration. Now, The NAACP has decided to try to make it about them?
Here's a little something that the NAACP and their ilk need to figure out that everybody else has known for a long time. The rest of us aren't spending our days caught up in peoples color and subcultures. We don't live our lives to offend or not offend people. We don't care to spend our lives walking around on glass dissecting every word before we say it to make sure someone can't take it wrong and make an issue of it.
People who walk around each day trying to find a reason to be offended in the actions of others are lifeless people. The rest of us have moved on. Irish can apply for jobs in New York, blacks can eat anywhere they like, and bus seats belong to whoever gets there first. There's no room for race agitators anymore. You just fester what would have healed by now.
It's not even ridiculous anymore....it's pathetic.
