Liberté, égalité, fraternité are what represent the French Republic since the revolution.
I proud of my country, his culture, and his history.
L'art de vivre aka quality of life is very important in the French society: 35 hours per week of work, 7 weeks of vacations, etc
Yeah sometime I miss my country and my town which is Paris.

Rich history, people are hospitable, proud that our color is brown, smart(street smart), intelligent. we've overthrown a dictatorship in a peaceful way(People Power 1). There are many things that makes me proud to be a Filipino.. words aren't enough to tell it all.

How can I be proud I am an American knowing about the terrible things my own government has done around the world, from 9/11 to the Iraq/Afghanistan and possibly Iran war?
Because of the agendas of a few, literally millions of innocent people have died for no other reason than that they happened to live there.
I am truly ashamed of my country. The land itself is beautiful, it is large, it is amazing, the people are wonderful, our grocery stores are overflowing with food from around the world and I truly live in a land of plenty, but the people Americans have placed into positions of power have mislead us, have mistreated us, have stolen from us and they have used (and are using) the might of the American military machine to run around the world acting like a bully in a schoolyard.
America is such a melting pot that I honestly can't tell you what it means to be an American. We have no national identity anymore.

America is a beautiful country and many different cultures. When I visited some states you feel like you are in different countries with the same language. Americans are very welcoming.
My father in law was an old American born in California. When I came here he considered me like his son and took care of me, so his daughter I will never forget him and he has a place in my heart all the time.
You can be proud of your country Allen. As far as the politic part we all have something to say about our politicians.
