I still didn't see it.

Two million, five hundred bucks for an ad on the Superbowl to let us know about the Census...and I STILL didn't see it!

Well, that was money well-spent...

I feel so left out.

Go Saints!!! 31-17 (The Colts are such suckers...)

It looked like the same ad they have shown for several days.....

They could have sent me the money and I would have told ten people who would tell ten people and....well you know....

Heck, for only $24,995.00 each, I would be more than happy to create websites to get the message out to the masses and drive large amounts of traffic to them!

For the affordable sum of just $9,995.00 I'd be willing to add an advertisement about the 2010 U.S. Census to every one of my digital products!

And for the unbelieveably small amount of just $4,995.00, I'd actually go so far as to print flyers touting the 2010 Census and hand them out to a minimum of 500 people every weekend at flea markets and swap meets!

I guess nobody told the Census Bureau that I work cheap...

We're talking about it here, so the ad must have been successful.

Success would be for the ad to deliver the message, Sitetutor.

What was the message? Take part in the 2010 Census. Be counted!

What message did we get? $2.5 million of taxpayer dollars blown on a single 30-second ad on the Superbowl!

Sorry, don't think it was much of a success.

I'm actually glad I didn't see it. It probably wasn't very funny (considering who made it), and considering what a monumental waste of money it was (money that we can't afford to waste), I don't know if I would have laughed or cried...

Didn't miss much.

edit: I think that was it.

reedit: I believe we have a couple of these threads now on the census advert. Maybe they should be combined.

The seat was only $9. The complete system was $640:

Oh heck yes. Searching for references for that, I found the prices for the much quoted hammer ranging from $200 to a couple grand.
