Waiting for the address to hear the details. Doubt the body is already here, so far I'm hearing his body is in US hands and he was killed in Pakistan. Looking forward to hearing what happened. I'd lay odds he's been dead more than a few days since it appears that theres DNA identification. Then again they may have brought it here for confirmation.

Anyway... Gotta say he was imminently deserving. No tears for him from me.

What's strange is, i thought the president wanted to tell the world but the media did.

Still waiting on him to make his address though.

The victims families of his orchestrated atrocities sleep better tonight, if it's really true.

Time will prove that Bin laden (on payroll of CIA) was dead around 4-5 years before by natural disease. US is now finding excuses to get out from Afghanistan with honor. Like 9/11 drama this drama is also fake. US troops are really really great and powerful but only in Hollywood films, not in reality. Otherwise US took 10 years (with all latest technology) to kill one disarmed person (as compare to weapons and technology of US and other troops). Surely Oabam want to get some political benefit and get out from Afghanistan with honor.

If we assume that Obama was responsible of 9/11 (this is not the case) and 3,000+ deaths then who is responsible for more than 1 million deaths in Iraq and more than 1 million deaths in Afghanistan?

This war will not over until greediness of first world countries is not over for natural resources of poor countries. This daram is just beginning of new drama.

like it matters. Bin Laden is just like the president a face to blame.

The public is very nave and needs someone to point the finger at when things go badly. People need to be able to point at someone and say it's his fault or her fault / there is the bad guy. When the reality is it's a bunch of people's fault including our own for letting them run the show in the first place.

bin Laden dead, just means there's an open office for someone else to take his place.

I've been on both sides of the globe and seeing how the Eastern world views the Western world. I am neither Muslim nor Christian so I have no preconceptions or expectations or prejudiced towards or for either. I don't know if it was just because it was a new place or not but I really liked the Eastern culture. There were measures of respect their that in the US are rudely tromped upon.

But on the flipside of the coin there are laws that most Americans would consider extreme or harsh or unreasonable. Two extremely different cultures each having unique virtues mixed in among laws that each would point the finger at the other and call ridiculous.

I view this thing with bin Laden and the whole Al Qaeda thing as everyday business on planet Earth.

Relations between Christians and Muslims and Jews have not changed for over 2000 years.

Why stop now?

Speaking of things faked... you made this post at DP too, under a name that's permanently banned here (who shares your location).

Smooth move.

This thread isn't actually about the people who have died in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Personally I think they should have had his head mounted on the wall over the mantel in the oval office. It'd be a fitting shrine / conversation piece.

As for the conspiracy dork who mentioned all the "fake" stuff right before his ID turned out to share that trait... Yes, it did take a decade to nail OBL. We'd have spent 20, but he was going to meet justice.

Of course we mustn't forget the contributions of your government, without whose assistance he'd probably have been killed years prior.

I don't think that this thread should disintegrate into a USA bashing thread, Bin Laden was wanted in many countries, he's not dead.

he's not dead? who's not dead?

and it's kind of hard to keep the fact that the USA finally bombed him into oblivion out of the thread isnt it?

let's hope it doesn't take them another 10 years of killing kids before they get Gadaffi too eh?

It's a good thing he's finally dead!
Now, all of our respective countries can return our freedoms and civil liberties to us! Yay!
The war is over...... NOT!

If you think trading some freedom for safety is a good thing, I have some questions for you...

Do you think we'll ever get the freedoms we've lost back?
Do you think the world is a much safer place, now that Bin Laden is gone?
How long do you suppose we have before those who took our freedoms away present the next "great threat" to us? Or remind us why the death of Osama Bin Laden is not the end of "the fight"?

It's all rhetoric with a single purpose in mind. Power.

I dont really think that he is dead. They made it this way because the economy is in a collapse and if you notice the price for petrol drooped immediately.

When i first heard the news, I thought it was a joke.
Although it's good to see he's dead, I don't think it will mean a big difference.

is the body in US hands? there appears to be reports the CIA "buried him at sea" after the DNA testing.

ya whatever. sounds like a false flag victory to me, to refocus people's attention from the real problems looming right up
