U.S., Britain Had Extensive Ties with Gaddafi Regime on Rendition, Torture

Quote:
Human Rights Watch has uncovered hundreds of letters in the Libyan foreign ministry proving the Gaddafi government directly aided the extraordinary rendition program carried out by the CIA and the MI6 in Britain after the 9/11 attacks. The documents expose how the CIA rendered suspects to Libyan authorities knowing they would be tortured. One of the most prominent suspects rendered to Libya was an Islamic militant named Abdelhakim Belhaj, who is now the military commander for the Libyan rebels. At the time of his capture in 2004, Belhaj was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, a group that had ties to al-Qaeda.

couple this information with the breaking news
(gee ... I never expected this ) :

'Gaddafi's massive weapons cache is disappearing as you read this'

and I am beginning to formulate a question for Obama.

Oh, come on now. Libya is involved in the "Arab spring" - the uprising across Middle East nations by ordinary citizens protesting against government rules and regulations peacefully in the hope that they can have a democratic country.

Hang on, that's Syria. Thousand of citizens being killed and angry words being directed towards the government.

Libya had the armed rebels fighting the horrific regime. I, in no way whatsoever condone anything that Gaddafi has done, good and bad but it's pretty obvious that this was always tribe against tribe. NATO has picked sides - may their oil prices be cheaper.

And I'm sure that none of this has anything to do with the fact that one of the first orders of business (after a long day of fighting for their lives against Gaddafi) of the "rebels" was (in the evening, I guess???) to do away with the central bank of Libya, which was indebtted to nobody and replace it with a new central bank indebtted to the Rothchilds.

May they reap what they sow.

Wherever there is war pain and huge amounts of debt you will usually find a Rothchild or 3
