Its not just the military they want to microchip, pretty soon the entire populace will be forced to accepting these microchip implants.
We are approaching scary times, but what the government wants is not always necessarily what the people want.
Much Thanks,

You guys both know that the wealthy and well connected will wiggle their way out of it.

Maybe, but if the general rule includes ALL able bodied, it'll be one of those things that'd fall against them should they aspire to a political career. The ones that have such aspirations would have to settle for letting daddy keep them in a safe gig stateside.

It was my intention to bring this controversial issue, because it will be no more than microshipping us like chattel.

Yes, and some people with stay in college forever or join the clergy to shirk their duty.
There are a lot of honorable men who served when there was a draft regardless of their connections.
Elvis comes to mind.... and Jimmy Stewart and a slew of Hollywood types who served their country in WW II.
I guess these are different times, indeed.
It's hard to imagine professional athletes, rock stars and Justin Bieber submitting to the draft.
Though frankly.... he could use a little boot camp.

Obama has absolutely no military background. Is that correct?

Saw something on Facebook about Presidents in uniform. Actually it was pretty funny, so I'll share for the chuckle, but in answer to the question... no.

That would be funny, but is he a citizen?
I know he's a citizen of my country. Didn't know he obtained citizenship in the US.
(You guys can have him. You can keep Celine Dion too. )

My thoughts exactly. They own your ass when you join up, and by signing over your life you're giving them the right to do whatever the hell they want. Your choice.

Another interesting article:
After The Government Microchips Our Soldiers, How Long Will It Be Before They Want To Put A Microchip In YOU
Quote:

What would you do if someday the government made it mandatory for everyone to receive an implantable microchip for identification purposes? Would you take it? Such a scenario may not be as far off as you might think. In the United States today, millions of dogs and cats have been microchipped, thousands of elderly Americans with Alzheimer's disease have been microchipped, and the U.S. military is developing "medical devices" that contain microchips to monitor the health of soldiers. Once the government has microchips implanted in all of our soldiers, how long will it be before they want to put a microchip in all government employees for the sake of national security? Once the government has microchips in all government employees, how long will it be before they want to put a microchip in you? Of course this technology is not going to be "required" for average citizens any time soon. For now, it will creep into our lives at an incremental pace. But after enough people have voluntarily accepted the "benefits" of implantable microchips, it will only be a matter of time before they become mandatory. Are you ready for that?

Good question. Are the people ready to accept the unacceptable?
Would you accept if your government make mandatory to put a microchip in you?

This is so cool!
I always, always wanted one of these chips inside of me instead of on my CAC card to verify my identity.
I never wanted a unit tat to prove that I was in service or belonged to a unit. I mean, maybe a barcode below the eye will be okay you know? But that's too weird.
Getting chipped means just walking into the PX without being questioned by the annoying ID checker. You could even be scanned at the theater to get a military discount!
Sweet, no more stolen valor cases! Maybe I would have been able to prove to everyone I went outside the wire more than once. No one would have doubted ever again.
Yeah... well, too late now. Anyway, maybe a civilian chip will come out so you can rearrange your own memories and mis-remember!
I don't want to remember my high school days, I want to be able to choose what I want to remember.
And why not, ya know? Know one from my old high school wants to associate with me anyway. I will be happy and content with what I get to remember.
