I can not think of anything Jesus said I would contradict,
I would point out however that Jesus did not prohibit the disciples
from baptizing although he did not do so.
Jesus also told the pharisees things.
One ... they did not understand their own scripture.

I'm not positive but I think that would be 360 cubed to allow for the Trinity concept.

I almost have to agree with Rob on this, as though Jesus was in principle a good man, as far as bad boys go, this guy was the ultimate hellraiser.. Ok, that isn't going to go down too well, but weigh this up for a moment..
1, He goes to a wedding and turns the water into wine probably totally intoxicating everyone there.
2, Feeds over 5000 people with a basket of bread and some fish, seriously affecting all the local trade and probably putting them out of business.
3, Goes into temples and starts throwing tables all over the place.
4, Is a poor man and yet has some very powerful friends as he seems to eat with tax collectors etc.
5, Pays his taxes by pulling money from fish (look it up)
6, Walks on water and when one of his own tries it, he sinks - (now that's just cruel)
7, Ends up offending an entire nation of Scribes and Pharisees by telling them how crap they are - (well ok, he never actually said that as such but they still got totally offended)
8, In the end they put him to death and 3 days later he comes back from the dead and keeps the party going on for a bit longer.
I don't care what anyone says about him, but being able to pull off what he did in those times and still come back for more! This guy one seriously cool dude

I may be wrong here, but was it so that he could stay out of the limelight for a few centuries, then go off to form Motorhead and then give us this?
On a more serious note, he was born to forgive mans original sin by giving his life, though I do like my original answer also.

Primarily to vindicate his father's name. Also to give his life as a ransom for mankind.
But I like your answer too Gio.

I'm not sure if Jesus goes with politics or not, but I do think Jesus was a Rock star for his times. He was the equivalent to Elvis. Yes Elvis. Let's keep in mind that 2000 years ago, the hip thing was to follow the guy who was saying the best things in the best ways. And Jesus was most probably the greatest guru of his time. But just 40 years ago, Elvis was the hip thing, and he was moving the crowds, and selling out halls, with the lyrics of the songs, where every fan knew all too well, and there was Elvis singing these songs and reaching people as did Jesus. Keep in mind that both of these legends are referred to as Kings, and I'm sure that 2000 years from now, Elvis will still be talked about even if Jesus and him have a 2000 year difference.

Jesus was born to light the darkness and
to bring a message of hope to mankind.
He told all who bowed before him to rise.
"I am but the first of many brothers", he said.

I think Jesus is a little more famous than Elvis. 2000 years later and there are millions of people that call themselves Christians. I doubt in 2000 years there'll be millions who call themself Elves!
Oh, and secondly, Jesus wrote/thought of his own material (unlike Mr. P)

I read it, Muddy.
Jesus has never actually spoken to me.
Not directly. Only through the holy spirit
and indirectly through others.
That is to be expected though.
He told the people around him they were blessed
to have seen him, his miracles and his resurrection.
Those people who came after that would have
no such proof. Only faith. Until the end times, of course.
Then there would be a great awakening.
I have waited for that great day ... so far ... in vain.

If the Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and in the future in Hebrews 13:8. (Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.)
And if God spoke to those in the Old Testament ages, then why would He stop?
Pray for more Wisdom, brother.

You got me on that one G10, Elvis did not write many songs. He depended on outside writers for his material. : ( . But in 2000 years from now, if we dont' have any "Elves" walking around, at the very least, there will still be Elvis' heritage. Rock n' Roll forever. Yeah!!
