Electronic Pick Pockets

I checked all my cards. It applys to credit and debit cards. And they don't have to pick your pockets either.

Saw that on TV recently.

I don't trust credit cards as is, and I sure as hell won't get one of these things.

Also - seems to me that human kind is getting lazier the better technology gets. What's wrong with the old card system? Put the card in (enter code if needed) pull card out, takes 10 seconds.

If your credit card company is moving to this type of system, you probably won't be given a choice.
You'll simply get a new card in the mail with a notice saying that your old card is now deactivated.
These companies aren't too good with asking permission for things.

I don't have a credit card and this is another great reason why I won't get one .

To my understanding the debit cards are the same way. If you look on the internet you can remove the chip. Or ask your bank not to put one in your card. Just wanted to help people be aware. There is so much fraud going on that people arn't aware of.

The banks seem to be moving in this direction with credit AND debit cards.
Eventually, the only way to avoid it will be to NOT have a bank account at all.

I don't think that is feasible. Bank accounts help us in ways lot more than just allowing us to debit or credit our cash. And not having a bank account will give rise to bigger problems such as burglary and theft.

In the report I saw, they used a special card cases witch could block the signal.

Could it be a conspiracy, so that you need buy one of these cases or a special wallet

It doesn't matter what you or I think is feasible.
The banks dictate how things work.

There is no doubt that companies will be lining up to capialize on this news. They always do.
I'd like to see some independent tests done to see if these special card cases actually work.
I'm sure that there will be some that work and some that don't.
