Someting to ponder about;

The US government supports Israel because of their ancient right to the country they live in now.

What about native Indians in the US? Don't they have the same rights?

You guys did a better job on them than Hitler did with the jews, that's for sure.

What about it? Don't they deserve the same rights?

Ok Ferre - one thing - you should know that the MAJORITY of Americans are very, very good and loving people. For the most part, a democratic society works very well and I honestly believe I live in the best country in the world.

It's easy to get the anti-American jig on, but you must not be confused between the American government and the American people.

All countries/governments are not without fault. Our fault just seems to be on the first page of the news now.

I'm not talking about the faults of the government, I'm asking this; Most of the American people find it just that the Palestinian people had to leave and give their homes to Israelis.

What about you? Would you agree to give your home to the original population? Same thing no?

Nope, I don't think I was. but I find it very typical that you are the only one to respond after more than an hour.

Usually everyone jumps on me immidiately in political topics but the reactions, or rather the lack of reactions, say more than words could ever do.

The Jews got screwed too, but got their god-given-land back, with the help from America to keep it.

What about the Indians god-given-land?

Or is it perhabs because they are a "bunch of heathens" that they do not have the same rights?

I'll be short (I'll probably expand later).

1 - I think Israel has a much stronger ancestrial claim.

2 - Indians offspring too easily accepted the forced terms of their ancestors. They were given exclusive provisions and seem largely content with that.

3 - It would directly effect me and I don't want to give up land.

4 - I pretty much support Israel on any given issue.

Point 1 and 2 are not true at all, talk to people like John Trudell, I did.

I can understand your points 3 - 4 though, they are typical American.

For certain, #1 comes down to opinion.

Yeah, that.

Though it is based largely on opinion, I don't think I'm alltogether wrong on 1 & 2.

Like many cultures before them, they were overpowered by a superior military. I expect at some point they took it from inferior people (militarily speaking). On a global scale, how far back do you dig to find out who to give land to? What's the timeline cutoff?
