Would You Hire A Robot?

http://www.naturalnews.com/039762_ro...mployment.html

Well would you? It would be a nice novelty to have one but the implications are dire! We have already seen the job loss in manufacturing and the car industry. And not paying taxes that should shake the government up!

If there was a cleaning robot for my home, I wouldn't only hire, I would probably adopt it.
For business purposes can't really say for sure, it seems to me that some jobs simply aren't the same without human touch (i.e. tourism industry)...

I would say yes. The implications will be determined on years of testing, however, which I believe is rare to happen as the world of commerce revolves. In any case, it is something bound to happen.

With the evolution of the world, all things change....

When I was a kid, many questioned the value of sending rockets into space....
The developments were endless.....
The jobs came by the thousands.....

Someone will have to build the robots, maintain them and handle the internet affiliate sales....

One door closes....another one opens....

lol - replace your workforce with robots and you can eliminate your health care costs and replace them with a mechanics bill!

Bottom line for large companies it is all about long term profit. Personally, I would be open for a robot that could perform my daily chores - more time for fun.

It's amazing how far robotics has come in a few short years. Even prosthetics are amazing these days!!!

I would certainly use a robot for around the house, but not sure about using one at work. We have numerous sysadmins here and while a properly programmed robot might be able to solve customer support issues, customers would still want that human touch

I would love to if I can even buy one. But as an employee myself, if most would go for robots, employment rate may go down... again.. as it is happening already. But nevertheless, it would be interesting to have one, for sure.

I wouldn't. The whole economy would go down the drain.

Machinery of any kind loses some of its value over time, whereas a human's value can potentially constantly increasing.

I.E. the most advanced military weapon is and always has been the soldier.
