From Israel to Lebanon

I stated this before, our planet is ruled by criminally insane sociopaths and we do nothing but support them...

Quote:
'It will be called the massacre of Marwaheen. All the civilians killed by the Israelis had been ordered to abandon their homes in the border village by the Israelis themselves a few hours earlier. Leave, they were told by loudspeaker; and leave they did, 20 of them in a convoy of civilian cars. That's when the Israeli jets arrived to bomb them, killing 20 Lebanese, at least nine of them children. The local fire brigade could not put out the fires as they all burned alive in the inferno. Another "terrorist" target had been eliminated.

Yesterday, the Israelis even produced more "terrorist" targets - petrol stations in the Bekaa Valley all the way up to the frontier city of Hermel in northern Lebanon and another series of bridges on one of the few escape routes to Damascus, this time between Chtaura and the border village of Masnaa. Lebanon, as usual, was paying the price for the Hizbollah-Israeli conflict - as Hizbollah no doubt calculated they would when they crossed the Israeli frontier on Wednesday and captured two Israeli soldiers close to Marwaheen.'

I don't get why the US supports every thing they do. They are so in the wrong.

2 people get kidnapped, so you kill hundreds? There's no logic in that. They just want an excuse to bomb the **** out of them.

I have a very Canadian stance to this...

"Those poor people. I'll go get the paper towels and help clean up."

That is some interesting logic you have there. How many soldiers should Israel allow to be taken before they respond with force?

It's more logical than the current US stance -support everything Israel does no matter what! Israel is NOT always in the right. I refuse to believe that they are. While the others are not saints either, and they do their fair share of aggressive attacks..but so does Israel.

It's a joke. You read the paper here in the US. The headline says 5 dead in Israel fighting. At the end of the story you will read that 25 Palestinians were also killed. Do their lives not matter as well?

Also, what kind of values are you instilling in your children when you have them write messages on missiles like that? WTF?! That's just sick and twisted.

You are right. Better we just teach them to strap a bomb around their waist and walk them into a crowd of people who are not islamic.

I'm not saying that's right either.

They're both messed up in such ways. But the spin our gov't puts on these stories is ridiculous.

What is the "spin" you think our government is putting on this?

If an American was kidnapped by some guerrilla army of another country, I'd expect the government of the other country to do everything in its power to resolve the situation. If the government of the other country is not willing to do anything, then yeah, send in the troops.

As for bombing civilians, that happens accidentally in many armed conflicts. It's a horrible thing, but I don't think that the Isrealis are doing it intentionally.

Hizbollah, on the other hand, intentionally targets Isreali civilians with their missile attacks.

The Media makes it look like those Israeli soldiers were 'kidnapped' while in fact they are caught in an illegal act of violence within the Lebanese borders:

Bahrain news agency:
http://english.bna.bh/?ID=47348

Quote:
Beirut, July. 12 (BNA) The Lebanese Hezbollah movement announced Wednesday the arrest of two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese police said that the two soldiers were arrested as they entered the town of Aitaa al-Chaab inside the Lebanese border. Israeli aircraft were active in the air over southern Lebanon, police said, with jets bombing roads leading to the market town of Nabatiyeh, 60 kilometers south of Beirut.
Also, civillian targets are not 'by accident' at all, the Lebanese civillian infrastructure is intentionally damaged by the Israeli government. Roads, airports (NOT military roads and airports), water and electricity production is what has been targeted, a war crime according to the geneva convention, but what does Israel care about that when they are supported by the USA anyway, whatever they do, they get away with it, no wonder that the Arab world hates Israel and the USA. No wonder that people keep blowing themselves up in their faces.

Governments arrest people. When terrorist groups abduct people and try to ransom them, it's nothing more than terrorism.

Ferre, thank you for having the time to talk about Lebanon, I am Lebanese, and I love my country, but to be honest, Hezbollah begin this, and Lebanese people as Israeli are paying for some thing so stupid, my family still in Lebanon, and I am so afraid to loose one of them, it is truly a disaster, and terrorism must stop, innocent people always die for nothing, for just some thing stupid or what others believe.
Lebanese government did not know about this war, it is like Hezbollah have a country of their own, and we are paying, always innocent people are paying, I hope to put soon our differences, and live for once in peace and respect to the Human Being.
