I am ready to do ALS Ice bucket chalange" its nice.I'm happy about this because If I wanted to donate money to a charity, I will do this on my own, I don't need people calling me out.

If we see from this perspective that if this is not happening , then nothing good is happening, With this happening , its is growing awareness and helping charity.

So definitely see a positive side for it.

Funding research into treating/curing/preventing diseases through taxation (especially on higher incomes through progressive income tax), is more efficient, consistent and fairer, than emotionally blackmailing people into doing stupid degrading activities in the name of charity (and shunning/harassing those who refuse to participate).

I didn't know there was anything controversial about it... Seemed like a good, non-offencsive and healthy way to raise some money (albeit maybe not highly effective). Sucks people managed to turn even that into drama.

I think it was another useless stuff that got viral . I completely understand it was for a good cause . Was it necessary to waste water like this ? Because lets c it this way its somewhat and uncommon disease which will kill some people for sure ...but can you compare those numbers with people specially childrens who die everyday because of lack of water or dirty water infections ?

It's amazing how everyone is coming out for the ALS ice bucket challenge but not paying attention and handling today's issues such as Ferguson, Missouri.

In my country, some youngers do this with the hope to getting famous. I;m not sure whether they donate or not.

I think people are doing this Ice bucket challenge for getting others attention. And there is no proven theory that Ice bucket cures ALS disease.
