Quote:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed on Tuesday that a patient being treated at a Dallas hospital has tested positive for Ebola, the first case diagnosed in the United States.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas officials said in a statement Monday that an unnamed patient was being tested for Ebola and had been placed in "strict isolation" due to the patient's symptoms and recent travel history.

It would be a pretty poor method of population control.
The virus doesn't discriminate between humans.
It doesn't know which humans are seeking to limit population and which ones aren't.
It will attack everyone equally.

There are far better methods of targeted population control that are much more accurate.

Sadly, there is now another confirmed nurse to have been diagnosed with the Ebola virus in Dallas, Texas. It seems that the main worry now is that she actually boarded a plane in Cleveland two days ago with a slight fever. Federal health officials are trying to track down and interview all 132 people on the flight. Fortunately, according to the CDC, though the risk of exposure to the passengers who were on the plane is low, since she did not yet have symptoms. The Ebola virus is not contagious before symptoms set in.

You are more likely to be in a plane crash than to get Ebola. The media is making it seem like it's something really crazy, but it isn't.

Wash your hands, don't go around sick people and you will be fine.

I think it's contained, sounds like a bunch of hype to me. over 10k people die a year from the flu yet that does not have as much importance.
