I don't feel sorry for a man who was responsible for 148 deaths and up to 100,000+ in his lifetime.

I feel excited.

I hate to see how much of an escalation this will cause in the violence. I hope the troops keep their heads down alittle lower than normal.

I doubt there will be a massive jump in violence. There are only so many left of his followers and technically, the Iraqi government hung him, not the US.

I was speaking for myself Nick, not for you. I also never mentioned feeling sorry for him, and I don't. I simply could never imagine myself cheering in jubilation at hearing of the death of anyone. Just my own personal thoughts, nothing more, nothing less.

It might have been the Iraqi Government that hung him, but most things that happen in the world is the fault of the United States, at least that seems to be that case in most things that happens worldwide.

When you are the most powerful nation in the world, you typically are the scapegoat for the world's problems.

Dictators all over the world are in deep thought tonight, and citizens of dictatorships, just pulled over a little bit more of the blanket.

It wasn't a fair trial, and yes I'm American. We had no place there in the first place. THEY DIDN'T ATTACK THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. That's why were were there, not to liberate Iraq. Why stop at Iraq? Hell, Bush ordered the slaughter of innocent civillians, wonder if he should be hanged. Have you even seen the numbers of innocent Iraqies that are dead? The number is staggering....all for this one guy who killed 140 people over 20 years ago?

Oh, and where's Bin Laden? Oh that's right, he doesn't have oil.

I'm pretty disgusted at these past few years.

Note: I very recently got out of the Marine Corps, both my brothers served in Iraq, and they both think us being there is BS...I really loved to serve my country, at one time it even brought a tear to my eye thinking about it. Somehow I can't muster that pride in country anymore.

Saddam was convicted in an unfair trial without a jury and sentenced to death for 'war crimes'. He was killed by a government created and supported mostly by the USA - to show that killing is wrong.

One of the best anchors of liberty is a jury of peers. The Iraqi Constitution has zero provision for this right, proof that the new Iraq is NOT a democracy. (google search it and see for yourself.)

What a gesture of compassion and an exercise in mercy it would have been to the whole world to spare Hussein's life and send him to prison rather than to death. Instead, the USA has joined every other punk-ass dictatorship and cruel regime on Earth where an appointed Judge can decide someone's guilt or innocence and then can sentence that person to death in a secret execution. What a terrible model of government they have created there.

The whole "Iraq affair" has proven to the world that the American way of "bringing democracy and freedom" is a farce to cover up imperialist annexation of countries that happen to have oil in their soil.

They gave Iraq a 'constitution' that hands over all the resources from the ownership of the people to the ownership of multinationals, this constitution was written by Americans in English and had to be translated into Arabic after it was done.

The Iraq affair shows the world that barbarism, looting and violence is the USA's main export product.

Yeah, the USA has brought civilisation back into the middle ages. Barbarism and imperialism dominate the world's spectrum again, centuries of fighting for human rights and dignity have been carpet bombed to the past, shock and awe has replaced communication and religious fundamentalism has replaced common sense. Science is only approved if it meets political goals.

THANK YOU AMERICA. Your legacy will mark this earth for centuries to come.
