time for the UN to step up and clean up THEIR mess!

No question he's been one of their best publicists and more importantly he's been their best recruitment tool and source of motivation. However, he couldn't have done it without a ton of help from the media that has consistently attacked him and everything we've tried to do to go after "them" since 9-11.

If the world were 1/4th as upset over the beheadings and brutal murders of innocents commited by truly insane people I think we'd have seen a lot more progress with Iraqis grabbing hold of their Saddam-free country.

What's happened has happened. What should be done now is what everyone should focus on now. Here's what I think the world community should do:

The world should force the UN to step up and take over the security of Iraq. They should essentially tell us, the US, to get out. The UN could send in troops or not send in troops, but Iraq needs help. I think we all agree on that.

The UN was in a position to prevent a lot of this mess from the very beginning, but the crooks that were lining their pockets wanted to maintain the status quo so they weren't about to push for any real inspections or get aggressive with their biz partner Saddam. So I say we start talking about the US withdrawing as we hand over the role of "aide" to the UN.

A strong brand requires a strong anti-brand (nemesis, archenemy).

evil empire

True. It worked well with the "Evil Empire" that has almost disappeared since the brand was born.

Problem we have with the Islamo Fascists imo is that they're integrated into Muslim communities all over the world and it's just flat out hard to tell a wacko from a "normal" religious person. So no matter how brutal the barbaric acts are and how large this population of Islamo Fascist wackos grows we're goin to have trouble isolating them and doing something about them. I'm afraid they'll continue hiding within enabling communities until they commit an act so catastophic that they AND these communities will be eliminated.
