Cheeks does a great job of keeping this place clean.
I vote that we give the tazer to her and teach her how to use it irresponsibly.

Note to Cheeks: If you manage to wrestle the tazer out of G10's hands, remember my post above.

Ok, I wasn't there for the thing, so I can only go by what I saw. It seemed excessive nonetheless. Maybe the kid pushed a little too much. I don't know.
And John, at the end..where they got him out of the room and out in the hall, they first asked for ID. He said he didn't bring any with him. Then they asked him his name and he said he was afraid to give it.
John - Don't insult me. I'm not insulting you, and that's just plain wrong. If you want to debate, fine. But don't start throwing insults. It doesn't add anything.

Before you go posting nonsense maybe you ought to do your homework, eh? The video clearly shows him resisting arrest, even if it doesn't show everything that proceeded it. A person with common sense would ask themselves, why is everybody cheering at the kid being removed? What did he do to earn such scorn?

You think that the law makes an exception? What university did you go to that taught you that? Yes, children, the law that states that you are required to identify yourself to police when asked is null and void if you are afraid of police. LOL.

Did you read? I didn't say it was okay for him NOT to identify himself. I'm not defending that.

If you are not defending it, what was your point?

Stating what happened. If they want to arrest him on that fact, fine. But to arrest on charges of inciting a riot? No way. There was no riot.

Who said that they were arresting him on that fact? Did you read somewhere that they were arresting him solely on the basis of his refusal to identify himself?

Ugh. I give up. You don't READ. I never said that they were arresting him solely because of his refusal to identify himself.

No tasering Laura, who hasn't even posted in this thread until now. But, if you give me a taser... that's an idea.
And you are all on my hit list.

I think the kid deserved it. I only saw a short clip but it seemed like he was becoming very hostile asking one question immediately after another. When the police tried to escort him out he clearly resisted arrest. He got exactly what he wanted, a lot of attention.

The news here is reporting that it was pre-planned. I'll see if I can find an article.

It seems a shame that his future may be ruined now due to him having a bit of an attitude.

honestly, i dont know the american laws and so i cant say if the tasering was rightful or not!
but i watch the video and i know:
if i behave like this guy to the "Guardia Civil" here in Spain, i would be "begging" for just a tasering!!!
but the real problem is now that his guy will go on the talk-show-cirle, will be interviewed by every dick and larry. probably writes and book and gets a movie-deal and leonardo di caprio plays the heroic student, who fought the establishment. and then he ends up with a few million bucks on his bank-account!!!
actually: where is the list? where can i sign up for some tasering?? i could need a few bucks!
