Student tasered for asking Kerry about Skull & Bones

Last night a U. of Florida student at a John Kerry townhall meeting was attacked by police and tasered when he asked him:

He was a student and should have been tasered on that merit alone, never mind about having the cheek to open his damned mouth!

I admit, he was a little over the top, but it didn't call for that kind of treatment at all. And now the kid is facing a felony and fines.

The police totally over-reacted and that was Waaaay over the top.

I have nothing against students juju and was just winding you up

Though fair enough, I wouldn't mind tasering a few, just for fun - lol!

Seems like he was asking a reasonable question to me - no need for the Police to manhandle him at all. There's certainly no need to taser someone who is on the ground with 3 or 4 cops already on top of them - that kind of disproportionate force is almost certainly a crime in its own right.

Are you guys sure he was tazered? Was it reported somewhere?
It looked to me like he was faking it.

When someone is tazered, electricity shoots through their body (and the bodies of anyone in physical contact with them).
None of the cops seemed to be affected, yet they were holding him, kneeling on him, etc.
I didn't see any of the cops take a step back or move to avoid the jolt and I didn't see any of them get jolted.
From what I saw and heard, I don't think the guy was actually tazed.

On a side note, it's a bit excessive to physically remove someone from a building for asking a question, no matter what the question was. And, Kerry should be ashamed of himself for not putting a stop to it. If anyone in that room could have gotten the attention of the cops (security, whatever) and put a stop to the situation, it would have been him. He's an idiot for not doing it or at least trying.

If you watch the video again, there are cops holding him as he's supposedly being tazered and screaming.
If that were the case, they'd all be getting some juice too. Electricity doesn't discriminate.

Ok, watching the thing now where I could actually hear the sound at a normal level, I am even more appalled. I had to listen very low before and could barely hear it.

I hope the kid sues the crap out of them for that kind of treatment.

There's other videos of it, where you can hear more of what he said. They were already trying to boot him when he asked about the 2004 election and voter disenfranchisement. The guys in the suit behind signaled the cops.

The guy was not obeying the cops. He was trying to get away, so it's entirely ok for the cops to taser him.

Watch the other videos for a full version. Some are edited to make it look like the cops don't give him a chance.

Funny how that Kerry comes off as a total weakling in this video.

The guy keeps resisting arrest, appears to be trying to get free. I'm guessing he is panicked. Probably a spoiled white kid who had never been arrested before. If you watch other videos, he's trying to sit down on a bench while they escort him out - obviously in denial of the fact that he's been arrested.
