Now I've Heard It all....

A new U.K. study has found that a the Obese are the main cause for global climate change and the food shortage. Stating that the Obese eat more and tend to drive their vehicles more often, apparently this really ads up when put on a global level.......

Thats an unusual way to put it... But you know we should all also consider the growth of population... There are still some countries that don't consider artificial methods or the use of contraceptives. More teenagers are getting pregnant at an early stage. The more the population, the more are consuming our resources.

Don't be ****ing stupid. If you don't want kids, then don't have them.

And some countries - like Japan - are paying people to have kids.

Damn ****ing collectivists trying to impose their world view on others need to get the snot kicked out of them.

Dude, with the teenagers nowadays, who practice unsafe intercourse, do you think that they can decide on having kids or not?

Yes, they can and do decide to have kids. And many of those children and loved and grow up to be fine, upstanding individuals.

You are suggesting that people not be given the freedom of choice. Or at least that is what it sounds like.
Like China, or some other place where it's government gives you everything it thinks you need. And tells it's people what they can or cannot do in return.

We're not running out of the ability to provide food for everyone, we have had a number of bad things happen in a relatively short amount of time that has decreased the surplus supply, we have countries where people aren't allowed to provide for themselves, we have governments that are corrupt and uncaring of it's own people......other resource wise such as fossil fuels, we are subject to policies and situations that have been staring us in the face for decades and we've done nothing about and now third world societies are seeking new technologies and expansions an increased desire for it has put a strain on a system that hasn't increased along with the need.

Your answer to all that seems to suggest population control and the removal of what many see as basic rights and freedoms. Plus keeping those others attempting to grow technologically and culturally at their current levels so they don't increase any strain on our current supplies. What does that suggest?

Guess I should have said that we should educate our teenagers more about teen pregnancy.

As for teen pregnancy, what would you suggest we do more of to better educate them? Better educate them at how not to get pregnant? Or more about what it to be a kid, or how to respect others, or how not to use pregnancy as an avenue to become an adult at the age of 14 or 16?

Teen pregnancy is something that has been around for quite a while I'll give you that. But now teen pregnancy is more an avenue for the teen to make their way to adult hood outside of others control. Or at least that is the way it has become around here in recent years. They all know very well how to or how not to become pregnant, they just don't care to practice it. How do you teach caring or common sense?

GENEVA - Obesity contributes to global warming, too.

Obese and overweight people require more fuel to transport them and the food they eat, and the problem will worsen as the population literally swells in size, a team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine says.

This adds to food shortages and higher energy prices, the school's researchers Phil Edwards and Ian Roberts wrote in the journal Lancet on Friday.

"We are all becoming heavier and it is a global responsibility," Edwards said in a telephone interview. "Obesity is a key part of the big picture."

At least 400 million adults worldwide are obese. The World Health Organization projects by 2015, 2.3 billion adults will be overweight and more than 700 million will be obese.

Smokers>The Obese>...

What's next? It's been said over and over and people seem to just turn a blind eye to it because they want to look like they freakin care. It's easy to pick on the smokers because it's unhealthy, now tax the hell out of them. It's easy to pick on obese people because it's unhealthy, tax the hell out of them and make them feel guilty. What can we tax next...it's all a pyramid scheme and if you think you don't have a vice to be taxed then you are probably next.
