All I can say, is that I will continue to call them like I see them. No harm in that. And on that note, I'll leave you to your assumptions on what I understand and what I don't in this business.....

Actually the way I see it, you're not calling it the way you see it based on the knowledge of how our business is run. You're calling it the way you see it based on a misunderstanding, and your assumptions, and you're efforts to gain some business for ServerBeach at any cost....even if that means putting down a competitor that you know nothing about.

Your assumptions lead you to the point of the illusion that people work for free, and thus we should only charge for the component itself. Your assumptions also lead you to believe that it's justified to pay $89/mo for the same server that somone else is paying $120/mo for.

As for the harm in "calling it like you see it".... Of course, there is no harm to you, or ServerBeach. It just harms those companies you decide call ripoffs.

In addition, my "assumptions" of what you understand or do not understand, you've made abundantly clear from your posts.

Thus far you have shown that you understand that technicians do not want paid for installing hardware on a server, and that a client should pay less for the same server someone is paying more for, and that staff obviously would not want paid to manage a client's server, and that because we don't follow that dillusional business plan, we're ripoffs.

It's obvious as per your agenda, it just so happens that your opinion, assumption, understanding, calling it how you see it, or whatever you want to call it, only harms the companies that are competing with ServerBeach, and it just so happens that we were included in that list this time around.

Now while I did not come here to get involved in an argument....you know neither myself, nor how our company is run. I came here to make a few corrections that you fumbled on, and to let you know that I did not appreciate our company being called a ripoff (while others may overlook that....I actually take pride in our company, and our clients). In that process you've made up nonsense anologies about people not being able to use their servers, purchased from us, unless they upgrade.

In the end, it doesn't matter much though. You were able to get your commision, at the unfair, and unjust expense of others.....that's all that matters at the end of the day right?

Wow...you've really taken quite a bit of what I've posted out of context and you're overly defensive regarding your company and how people view it. I believe there is no point in trying to assume what I've said anymore as you've somehow managed to get way off base. You keep using the word "assumptions" which according to the dictionary doesn't mean "opinion", which happens to mean: a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter. So again, I will continue my opinions about any company and/or anything whether you choose to like it or not is clearly up to you, but nonetheless...I'm entitled to them. For someone who doesn't like "assumptions", you sure are making a lot of them yourself.

Secondly, I do not work for ServerBeach and you bet I'm quite happy to have servers there...but if you've done any research on my posts _here_ at IMR or over at WHT, you'll find that I also recommend other companies that I have servers with as well. So you can cut back on your "ServerBeach" comments.

Stop being so defensive and taking words, comments, and opinions out of context and relax a little. You're in a tough market as you know...there will always be critics. How you react to the critics plays a big factor on your reputation.

If you'd like to reply back with more defensive posts regarding my opinion of your company, have a blast...because the way I see it now is that you've had your say and I've had mine. We'll agree to disagree.

Enjoy your day and good luck with your business.

Yep. I have seen you recommend quite a few places.

Agreed.

However, the one thing you're failing to realize is that I'm not here discussing this simply because you referred another company. That of course is all well and good, and doesn't bother me in the least.

What bothered me was your labelling of ANM as a "ripoff" just to make it appear, or at least the way I'm reading it, that ServerBeach was better, because we rip people off or something.

I'm not trying to be combative here....I'm just hoping that you will see where I'm coming from.

In all honesty, we would never rip someone off, whether you choose to believe that or not, is entirely up to you. I just know, as the person that runs the place....my goal has always been to treat customers with respect, and honesty, as they are the power behind any business. Without them, your business is nothing.

With that, when I see ANM being labelled a ripoff, after I've strived so hard to make sure we're being honest and respectful, with our clients, it bothers me personally, because I have built the place with hard work, and loyalty to those that helped me, and those that have entrusted us to power their businesses, websites, etc.. and to have it all come down to one comment, that makes that hard work, and loyalty seem useless...of course I take it personally.

Being the moderator of a marketing board, you know as well as I do, it only takes one comment like that to start a snowball effect.

Again, while I don't take any offense to you suggesting someone else's service, that you use, I did take it personally for ANM to labelled a ripoff.

No hard feelings on my end, was just hoping you would see where I was coming from, but I guess that's not going to happen.

Mark,

Some people say my prices are a rip-off. I don't feel the need todefend myself from such claims. If my customers are happy, and if I'm satisfied that I'm providing my customers with their money's worth, all is good.

My post that started this (discussion?)... I've edited to satisfy said company. I will now try again to consider this issue closed.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.
