I've searched WHT and I've searched Google and I can't find quality-hosting-on-the.net anywhere not to mention the URL doesn't even work.
~$ whois quality-hosting-on-the.net
No match for "QUALITY-HOSTING-ON-THE.NET".
Are you sure that's the correct domain name?

I have to say if your having doubts now then I would be looking elsewhere.
Singe this post is in the Dedicated server forum I figured you where looking at their dedicated package. I see they had a $69 server for 30GB and only 100GB transfer with 256MB ram. At that price it does not include Cpanel so thats another $15 more. By then your at $84 for a server with only 100GB transfer and only 256MB ram.
If your not fully comfortable running a server from a command prompt then you might ask them if they preinstall any web based admin tools like webmin, usermin, virtualmin. None of them are overly difficult to install but they do not compair to WHM or Cpanel.

Wow, they only offer RH 8.0? Their upgrades are completely ridiculous (in my opinion). Even high-end dedicated providers don't charge that much. They're charging you full price for the cost of the upgrade component then billing you every month for it.
You can go to Webhostingtalk.com and perform a search on them, there are some opinions there from people who have actually used them. I'd say, read through them, shoot them an email with a few important questions and see how you feel after that.
I also agree with fishfreek and his comments as well.

Rapid reboot is a way to remotly restart your server if/when it fails to respond to other 'normal' command methods. THink of it as being equivlent to unplugging the power cord from the powersupply, counting to 10 and then plugging it back in.
Its not something you want to do 'just for fun' or as a method of restarting your server unless all other methods are unavailable.

So really unless I needed it restarted within 5 minutes, I should just put up with emailing support and having them reboot it?

Its your server you can log in via ssh or what ever web based admin panel you have installed on your system and reboot it yourself at will. Absoutly no need to e-mail anyone.
Think of serverbeach as a hands off datacenter. YOu rent a server from them. In exchange they provide you with a working server and several fast pipes in/out of the datacenter.
When it comes to the server itself your free to install and run just about anything you want on it except for a few services that are explicitly mentioned in the AUP. So if you install something and it requires a reboot then you reboot it. THe only time you need to bring support into the picture is if after you do the reboot command your server does not come back online in like 2-5minutes.

Hey thats sweet. Of course the 10/month is better than 100/year since there are 12 months in a year.
Does using this cupon void out your ability to use the referal code and earn 100 credit after 90 days?
