I just wanted to say that I recently moved all my hosting to Rackspace and the service has been truely exceptional! I have had all issues sorted out within hours if not minutes, and the support staff are dedicated, polite and helpful. If you are looking for dedicated hosting I recommend that you look no further.

BTW - I am in no way affiliated to Rackspace.

It's not cheap - I pay circa £150 a month for an average spec machine and 100Gb...

personally price does not rule where I would get a server. Bandwidth is like cars, cheap, luxurary, sports. All different things involved. IF this company values there network and sells the bandwidth high, most likly expect good pings and such

Things are expensive in the UK, dunno how much Rackspace cost in the US - but I'd guess that it's the same in dollars as it is in pounds over here. So half as much, that seems to be pretty standard nowadays...

But then again, when it all goes tits up at 3am, and I get through to a helpfull, intelligent and courteous helpdesk member within 2 rings - it all seems worth it I promise you.
