APLUS.net Stay Away!

I had 2 dedicated servers with Aplus.net

They have DELETED 1 server by accident! The dedicated support associates response to me when I called him was "We didnt know which one of us should call you because we knew you would be upset and this is why we didnt return your calls"

On top of this I was paying them monthly for backup service so I requested the "BACKUP" that they were BILLING ME FOR!! Well, guess what? They did not have backups in place.

The rep told me "This is the first time something like this happened at APLUS.net".................yeeeeaaa ok!

To verify if this was true I had another server with backups that I was PAYING for, so I asked them to provide me with the BACKUP LOGS of this other dedicated server.

GUESS WHAT? They said "They dont know why but this server is not being backed up" I guess 2 screw ups like this with ONE customer and they have the audacity to tell me "This is the first time something like this happened at APLUS.net"

I encourage everyone to stay away and understand that your DATA IS NOT SAFE at www.aplus.net EVEN with BACKUP SERVICE.

I emailed the CEO and I have yet to hear his response. I will be serving them with a lawsuit shortly for all the money I paid in development costs of information stored on the server that they deleted "by accident".

I've heard a ton of horror stories about them. And honestly, I hate how they cold call new domain registrants. That is already bothing me to the point where I wouldn't want to do business with them in the first place.

They called me and kept me on the phone for like 20 minutes trying to get me to use their servers, heh, glad I eventually hung up on them.
