In Need Of Dedicated Hosting...

Looking for a dedicated server that is similar to the following:

- CELERON DUAL CORE E1400 2GHz, 4GB RAM, 2 x 160GB IDE with 3000GB Traffic 10 Mbps
- Linux Enterprise Linux - CentOS
- cPanel/WHM Internal
- Unmanaged

The lowest I could find this for is about $79 a month. I was wondering if anyone knows of a reliable company that can offer something similar in the range of $49-$69 or if that's basically a good price for what I'm getting?

With a dedicated server, your web site will have all the resources dedicated completely to your web site. Dedicated servers also allows you to install other software on your own instead of waiting for your host to install them for you. Unlike shared hosting, dedicated server supports media streaming, game/chat servers as well as other back ends. If your web site has a instant chat feature or you want to host your own gaming server then you definitely need a dedicated server because shared hosting simply cannot support those features.

Did you see server4you packages and prices? Their servers are cheaper than many other hosting servers and maybe you can find your desired server over there.

According to your budget ($49-$69) you'll hardly find the best offer. You can get a Celeron single core processor dedicated server easily at such a price, but dual core seems difficult.

So have you found your provider yet? I am curious to see what your budget allowed you to get. I feel it was slightly low for your specs.

The features seems to be good, and I think if the company is reliable, and have good history you must go with them! The price is also cheap!

I would suggest Dedicated server from hetzner.Have a look at their x series.

$49 - $69 is not enough for a quality dedicated hosting service, despite that the server is quite cheap.

For a so-so server, but great support and great quality bandwidth, I recommend sonic.net

For super cheap, lots of power, less than spectacular bandwidth, less than spectacular stability, but with decent service, serverpronto.com offers up some decent servers.

Were you able to find a dedicated server with those specs in this price range? I am also curious what you will be able to get as the price you have stated is a little low for what you are looking for.

Your budget would be hard pressed to find more than a single core processor at a lower tier data centre.

At that level did you consider using a Virtual Private Server or VPS? In many ways it may be a better solution for your hosting needs.

Based on you specification and your price, I thinks there are a lot of web hosting service as your needed. You can compare one with anothers, and then select the best.
