What are your dedicated server specs and hosting company?

I did a quick search of this forum and did not find anything similiar.

What are the specs on your dedicated web server and what hosting company do you use?

Also if you could share the amount of traffic you get and the type of website you run along with how well the server handles it via the server load that would be helpful too

My server:

From: http://www.ev1servers.net

Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 2.0 512kb Cache
1GB Memory
80GB EIDE Harddrive
1000GB of Bandwidth per month
PHP 4.4.2
MySQL 4.1.18
APC 3.0.10
Plesk 8.0.0

It runs two popular Mustang websites, http://www.mustangevolution.com and http://www.lonestarstangs.com and it handles them "ok" at the time. Loads are around 2-3 during the heaviest part of the day. The site still loads decently fast during those times though.

I don't really like Ev1 either. I had a couple servers there and support was lacking.

I have a couple servers at ThePlanet, I had 1 at server beach before too but I "need" phone support (they might dot his now), other than that serverbecah was fine.

Dual 2mb Xeon 2.8ghz
2gb ECC Ram
2 10krpm SCSI Drives
2000GB Data Transfer
100mbit Ports
cPanel/WHM
32 IP's

My other one is a 2.4ghz Cele 1gb dual 80gb IDEs 1500gb/transfer. Nothing super special, it gets the job done just fine

That's great! I checked out your service and the price is very fair for a managed server! Is it quality bandwidth or cogent or ? [Or do they not specify?]

A couple months into my service wtih them they sent collections after me Yet when I finally cancelled I had a credit!!!

since u stick up with ev1, could you tell a bit about'em, would u recomend going with ev1 or not. We looking for a dedicated serv provider, and i guess for price/package ev1 is optimal for us, although i saw very negative comments abot ev1.

thnks

Check out http://www.hostland.com/ds.html
Hostland has a cool form that you can easily customize your dedicated server and get an instant quote as you customize your dedicated server. Dedicated servers start at $88.50/month.

Testing out dual core dual opterons and from what I can see they are performing rather well to the XEON. However I await to get my hands on the new INTEL woodcrest

I have 2 Dell 600sc's colocated in Virginia at Superb.net. It's so much cheaper to colo.

Server 1
=============
P4 3.2ghz HT
2 GB RAM
40 GB drive (gonna upgrade this soon to a speedy SATA)
FreeBSD 4.11

Server 2
==============
P4 2.4ghz
1GB ram
40 GB drive
FreeBSD 4.11
(broken fan but it's still kickin)

I had both these up and running for over 2 years now and I manage them myself. I am almost a better sysadmin than a webmaster...I guess I am a jack of all trades.

btw...I pay only $210 per month for BOTH system and I get 1500GB monthly bandwidth on each. Never had any downtime problems from the ISP.

Certainly everyone chooses the company to the taste
But in one we should be confident that our chosen company will be reliable and that will give us a guarantee about continuous work.
For that we also choose a paid hosting

I am very curious why you have cogent listed like that. Would you please explain? I have a T-1 through them at my day job and am wondering how that comment relates to my experience.

Thanks
