Question Need VPS, any suggestions?
Hey Folks,
Haven't been here for a long time . Love the changes .

Anyway,
I'm thinking to get VPS for myself. Anybody has any suggestions who to go with?

stay away from Pipex/Webfusion VPS, I don't notice much performance increase over their standard shared accounts.

they are bad i signed up for one of these recently
i got an email saying ready in approx 4 days time, 12 days later i asked what is happening then they sent me an email to say it was active

i was told by their online people i could use my own nameservers so i set them up, 2 days later still no service, i asked them what is happening and they then said i have to use their nameservers

i got those set up then i could not access anywhere as they sent me incorrect logins for plesk, once i got these i started to set up websites on there

i set up a few databases and tried to access them but no permissions were set or able to be set, i asked where to set them and they said me/my clients have to use the root access, sure i did not want to give that out to clients, especially as some dont even know how/what to do

i asked them to cancel the account and i was told i had to telephone them, i was then told i had to give 30 days notice, but why? for a service i didnt receive!!
