Reputable server colocation
I'm looking for a reputable place to colocate a server. In fact, a very expensive server.
One question is, if it's just colocation, that means the datacenter people don't provide any type of support? Like, if a hard drive crashes, will they put replace it (at my expense) or do I have to go there and replace it myself?

the one i said hosts google and some other places..
they just use their itnernet.. most likely you want managed colocation just so problems can be fixed faster... however,, you live in las vegas.. see if any internet backbones are near you.. and what colocation companies have direct access to them.. that will be fastest and most secure.. I will try to find a colo expert and show him to this topic.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think they host Google - just in the same datacenter.

Hi all,
Thank you for the recommendation! My name is Erica and I work at Simpli.
We are located in AboveNet's San Jose 3 datacenter. This is a 100% uptime datacenter. Google and Sun Microsystems also colocate there (traceroute sun.com, then traceroute simpli.biz, and see for yourself!)
If you have any more questions about Simpli, please feel free to contact me directly at erica AT simpli.biz.
Thank you!

For colo- I would highly recommend http://www.simpli.biz/
Erica and the staff are really ontop of things there. Support, Network, all reliable. John, check out the posts around WHT about them. If I were going colo, I'd definitely start there first.

Would you also recommend their reseller packages?

Instead of selling Domain Accounts directly to users, you give someone a reseller account on your server, so they can sell Domain Accounts. You may have only a couple resellers, but each reseller could have hundreds of domains hosted on your server. Of course, you want to set reseller packages so that you get paid based on how many domains they sell.
